For decades, apprenticeship has been close to our hearts ♡ .
Try to imagine our working environment without on-the-job training? Impossible! At Garage Berset, we are convinced that the next generation of car mechanics needs to be trained in the field and supported by a theoretical curriculum. As a result, we support the profession’s breeding ground by training apprentices every year at our garages in Marly and La Tour-de-Trême.
Transferring our know-how
Every trade and profession has its secrets and subtleties. If we are not to lose them, it’s vital that we keep training young people who are motivated to learn and perpetuate our passion for motor mechanics. We support them day after day for several years, until they are operational and ready to stand on their own two feet in the world of work.
Mechanics and mechatronic engineers
In our family business, we train young people to become auto mechanics and mechatronic engineers. These two training courses are the strong links in our industry. While the mechanic is a little more focused on (as his name suggests) the mechanical parts of the car, the mechatronics engineer will be oriented towards the electronics, electrics and diagnostics of modern cars, and will have a little more affinity with IT.
At Garage Berset since 1987!
Our team includes Nicolas Brügger, a fine example of training and professional development. Nicolas began his apprenticeship at Garage Berset in Marly in 1987, and over 35 years later he is still loyal to his position as Workshop and Service Manager at our Marly center. Here’s living proof that when you love, you don’t count (the years).
